Double Twist Strander
ACSR/AAAC Conductors (Bare)
This 1200 twists per minute economic alternative to the traditional Tubular Strander is ideally configured for 6+1 overhead transmission conductors (ACSR/AAAC), meeting the straightness and preformance standards of the product. The line includes a Twist Compensated Payoff for the steel wire, with strand locking and postforming integrated into the Double Twist process. Optional driven individual wire roll-forming head is available for Trapezoidal or “TW” strand layers.

- Rotational Speeds to 600rpm or 1200 twists/min with typical line speeds to 600ft/min or 200m/min
- Side loaded design with access platforms for ease of set up
- Optional Postforming and/or Compacting facilities
- Geometry allows Take-Up reel capabilities to 1800mm DIN or 72in
- 10,000 lb or 5 tonnes Take-Up reel weight capacity
- Unique traveling drive plate accommodates wooden “ship out” reels without attachments
- Scissor lift powered platform ideally suited for the range of Take-Up reels
- Force vented sound proof guard panels with sandwich sheet steel doors, safety interlocked, ensure quiet and safe operation. Access panels at rear of guard provide easy access for maintenance
- Integrated drive and control package with auxiliary equipment to suit each application
